Cinedays - A guide along the journey of film
The film is a series of images of our subconsciousness, flickering pictures which are so much like life itself, images which often rise above it. Dreaming in a state of wakefulness. The film is a sum of illusionistic-narrative codes, especially at the beginning of its creation. The film is created (and perceived) with all instruments that lead to contemplation on art. The film aesthetics is in fact philosophy of the seventh art, a synthesis of the film thought. The film is not only an abstract form which is enriched through several aesthetic qualities, but also how that particular aesthetic quality is enriched with the language traits. Lacan recognizes four primary types of sex drives. If just a half of them - the ocular (visual) and the aural (audial) drive - are the reason for one’s visit to the cinema, then who needs a stronger proof on the power of film?
